To meet the increasing demand for high-definition equipment globally, from 2009, Sanyo's Xacti Dual Digital Camera line-up is designed to record high-definition video. High definition comes in two primary types: 720p and 1080p. Sanyo's VPC-CG10 compact HD model is compatible with 720p (1280 x 720) and is able to record at 30 frames per second. It also takes HD-quality photos, putting high definition into the palm of anyone who uses a Xacti Dual Camera.

The VPC-CG10 employs advanced MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 compression technology to produce video files that are easy to handle on the web or on your PC. Despite being compact enough to carry about anywhere, anytime, the CG10 is capable of shooting high-definition 720p video.

HD Photos
The handy and compact VPC-CG10 captures 10-megapixel photos just like those taken with a dedicated digital camera. It can even record higher-resolution images at up to 12 megapixels, using real-time interpolation. Meanwhile, the upgraded Face Chaser function can keep track of up to 12 face

HD Photos
Thanks to the ISO-standard MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, video files are as easy to handle as photo images shot with a regular digital camera. It's quick and easy to save files on a PC and upload them onto a web page to share with friends and family.

This is a brilliant product for a camcorder alone. Brilliant Price and good quality. But with the Digital Camera aspect of this aswell. It is brilliant for the price. Definite Buy.

I'll start by saying thanks Play, I ordered it on Tues evening, posted on Wed morning and arrived on the friday, great service. Well the camera has been tested at the beach today and the quality of the video footage is really very good. I can't fault the HD quality and the photo image is better than my 7.1 mgp stand alone camera. Its light weight and easy to use, it looks and feels good the only downside is the naf lens cap but I can live with that. I also found it to be very easy to download the footage onto my pc, I just plugged it in with the usb lead provided and wam, it was done. Overall 9/10 I would give it a 10 if the optical zoom was better. If you're looking for a cheap good quality camera/camcorder for your hols then, I STRONGLY SUGGEST BUYING THIS ONE.
